Peds First Pediatrics

Doctors are great and wait time is good. Everything else is terrible. Making an appointment is terrible, getting someone on the phone that won’t automatically put you on hold as soon as someone finally answers is a joke. Getting billed for well shot visits, and incapable receptionists. I dropped off daycare forms to be signed on a Friday afternoon I called that following Wednesday and they said they would put a note for the doctor to do it. Thursday it was still not finished. After going back and forth between receptionists after being put on hold then forwarded to their voicemail box I finally got someone to tell me the doctor they assigned it to on Friday has been out on emergency leave. Not sure why this wasn’t checked into when I called Wednesday. So it was sitting in a doctors folder who was not there for a week until someone could sign it quick. A form that takes 5 minutes. Not only was that a major inconvenience, I went down to switch practices and signed a medical release form that no one could figure out how to forward to my email. That being said I’ve been waiting a week now for them to send basic chart info to my new pediatrician so I can make an appointment for my son at the new practice. The doctors are once again great, but the staff is terrible.

My kids have been patients here for nearly 6 years. We've always had great experiences and love Dr. Jason. However, we recently had an appointment and I received a call to come in earlier, so we made it work and got there at the earlier time just to sit and wait past the original time and no one apologized for the wait or said anything. As if the holidays aren't stressful enough now we need to decide if we need a new Dr's office 😒

I switched to this practice 6 years ago and never looked back. Dr. Jason Halegoua is so attentive and caring. He listens and addresses all your questions and concerns. And not to mention he is great with my kids as well. Even when we see other doctors and PA’s I always leave feeling like we got the absolute best care. Highly recommend Peds First Pediatrics.

This place has really gone downhill, I don’t know what has happened. I brought my daughter since birth in 2020 and they were great, especially Dr. Cataldo. Since bringing my second daughter less than a year ago, they are terrible and spiteful. I’ve given them 3 chances and decided to quit, just horrible experiences. The last thing a parent needs is to deal with bad practice when their kids are involved. The last straw was when I brought my two babies in for a follow up visit and we were 15 minutes late because I got the time mixed up and while I apologized and explained they refused to see us. I asked for some understanding and compassion as I’m rushing with two small kids by myself and they did not care. They insisted the doctor was so busy with other patients when it was still our appt time and we couldn’t be squeezed in for something that would take 10 seconds. Told us to come back in a few hours like I have time for that. They absolutely lied as the place was completely empty and this isn’t the first time I was lied to and they were spiteful. When my baby was 4 days old she had a visit scheduled where I woke up profusely vomiting with a stomach bug post c-section. They hounded me for months to pay a $25 fee saying I never called to cancel when the girl must have forgot to enter it in the system. They even sent me a ridiculous condescending letter hounding me for it. The attitudes of the staff are horrendous and from online forums I’ve seen, I am not the only one who has had enough. I will now be moving my children to a new practice where they handle themselves professionally and respectfully.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Our little girl is sick and we took her there to see what it is. After waiting over an hour and a half for someone to ANSWER THE PHONES to get an appointment. They told us that testing for the flu is pointless due to nothing can be done. That seemed fishy to me and we took her ro city md. They tested her for the flu & she was positive also said IF WE HAD KNOWN WITHIN THE FIRST 24-48 hours she could have taken tamaflu to help! Never taking her here again. DO YOUR JOBS OR QUIT!

I just cannot say enough amazing things about peds first and their staff. My oldest is 8 and we have used their pediatricians and specialists since she was born. They truly care and go above and beyond in every way possible. Dr halegoua is simply amazing! not only is he (and all the doctors and support staff) incredibly knowledgeable and on top of everything, they are so incredibly and genuinely caring. We have been through a lot as a family, losses specifically and they have been there for us through it all. I know I can call at any time and for anything and I will be heard and taken seriously. I just would never bring my kids anywhere else. My son needed special formula as a baby and Dr halegoua wouldn't give up until he got the insurance company to pay for it. You cannot go wrong with this office. I am so incredibly glad we found them all those years ago.
